Missed. The model had Siena; Bryant won 80-75.

• Siena rates 206th of 366 teams, Bryant 338th: a lower-half team against one of the weakest teams in Division I.
• The edge is mostly Siena’s offense (108th nationally) against Bryant’s defense (255th).
• Siena’s numbers came against the 27th-easiest schedule, so they are discounted.
• Siena is picked on the road despite Bryant’s 2.7-point home-court edge.
• The books have Siena by 5; the model likes Siena by more than that, so the spread value is on Siena −5.
• Projected total 137 vs an over/under of 155: a 18-point gap, the Under is the play.
• Early-season note: about 95% of these numbers are still last season’s.

Every pick is locked before tip-off and graded from the final score. How the model works.
